Striped Passions Series- The Beginning

My journey into the paranormal romance genre began with a sexy novella called Hot Fur Stripes, Book 1 in the Striped Passions Series. Now, one thing constant about writing life, is change. And Hot Fur Stripes was no exception. This story was outlined and partially written around 2012 and it wasn’t until about four years later that I decided to dust it off and make it complete. Here are some little to unknown facts about that first book.

~~Hot Fur Stripes, like many stories, was intended to be a standalone but developed into a five book series.

~~The initial setting was in the countryside and not an urban location.

~~The tiger shifter hero of the tale, Terrence Devereux was a custom furniture maker and not a billionaire. And he was a wolf in the original story.

~~Jasmine and Terrence first met at a bar, where he had protected her from being assaulted (he kicked ass of course!).

~~Terrence had moved to the town where Jasmine lived to escape discrimination he was facing because he was a shifter. In the published story, the setting is Carleynes, a country where a large percentage of the citizens is made up of shifters, and it is known for its diverse culture and acceptance of supernatural beings.

~~The one element of the original story that has never been changed, was that a mysterious murder had occurred and Terrence was the primary suspect of the crime.
